The Wasswa Family
Baby Wasswa’s Journey of Hope
I was admitted at Kawempe Referral Hospital for two months after giving birth at just 27 weeks.
My baby was on oxygen for the entire two months.
We were not allowed to go in with phones, so I don’t have many photos from that period.
But I have one photo of me when I was doing Kangaroo Mother Care. That moment meant everything to me.
I was discharged when my baby weighed 1.1kg.
Today, he is 5.5kg and growing stronger.
I lost Kato, but Wasswa is my reminder that hope can survive even the hardest beginnings.
