Mothers’ Tents at Kawempe Hospital: Comfort and Care for Preterm Families

For mothers of preterm babies, leaving the NICU can be both joyful and stressful. Finding safe, nearby accommodation while caring for a fragile infant is a real challenge. To support these families, Preterm Infants Parents Network Uganda has donated mothers’ tents at Kawempe National Referral Hospital. These tents provide a secure and comfortable space for mothers to rest, stay close to their babies, and focus entirely on their care without the added worry of accommodation. A small space can make a big difference. Every mother who stays in these tents is supported, connected to her baby, and able to navigate this critical period with confidence and peace of mind.
