Building Hope Inside Uganda's NICU

The Wall of Hope is a nationwide NICU-based emotional support initiative that shares survivor stories encouragement and parent messages to strengthen hope community and resilience among families of preterm infants. Active Locations Installed and active in six hospitals: Kawempe National Referral Hospital Mulago Women Specialized and Neonatal Hospital China–Uganda Friendship Hospital Naguru Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Mubende Regional Referral Hospital Luwero General Hospital Expansion Plan 2024–2028 Planned rollout to: All Regional Referral Hospitals Impact Parents report reduced fear increased hope and stronger belief in their baby’s survival after engaging with the Wall of Hope during NICU stays.
